What would you have done in this situation?
So a while ago I had an interview with a woman to move into an apt on her property in exchange for barn chores. She recently decided I was not a good candidate because of something that happened while I was there. She asked if I had ever handled stallions and I said no. She took me out to get a stallion from a paddock and proceded to put a shock collar on him and said he was difficult to handle. He reared once on the way to the barn. Later she had an inexperienced rider on him as she said he is a babysitter under saddle while she was riding another stallion in the same arena. Stallion one started flipping out and bucking. I was standing outside of the arena watching. She says that I do not have good instincts as I did nothing. But I just want to know what everyone else would have done. She says I should have done something to help. My opinion is that I said I had no experience working with stallions, watched this horse misbehave while being lead and there were TWO in the arena at the same time. The rider was inexperienced and wasn't doing what she was instructed to do. I don't want to get hurt by a horse I don't know trying to help someone I don't know. And if it was me on that horse, I would NOT want someone coming into the arena that I don't know, trying to help me. So, what would you have done? Gone into help or stayed back...?
