If you presented to me - the ablation would be the first choice. If something is causing your doctor to beleive it won't work - then the hysterectomy is needed. I'm not a big beleiver in hysterectomy's unless they need to be done - but in your case, from what you have said, it would likely be best. I realize your husband may be against it, but your doctor should meet with him and try to calm his fears. They are usually related to a concern that will be different after its done. There is no reason to think your can't be left intact from what you have said, so he really won't notice a difference other than possibly needing to use lubricant.
