How do people dress in San Fran?

Always bring a coat....The evenings get cool....It's the city by the Bay and it gets chilly.....No matter what it's like during the day...It also matters what you are going to do...Lots of night life in San Francisco.....Jeans would work with different tops casual and dressy...Bring confortable shoes...If you do get dressed up and wear heels or boots bring some walking (flats)shoes in a bag...Lots of hills....
