If so many recreational drugs work with dopamine, why do they all give different "highs"?

It all involves the particular drugs active ingredient. It may inhibit dopamine neurotransmitters but what other chemicals are involved and how do they manifest from a physical standpoint, increased or decreased heart rate and etc. You would really have to research each individual drug to see how and why it works. It is a very interesting question that i may investigate myself. Interesting indeed.
